Michel ROCHET, Head chef and owner of Delice
We are living in a world under a microscope. That microscope is being closely monitored by the children of today and the humanity of tomorrow. Analysing and questioning the actions we all take, pushing us into more ethical, more socially responsible practices. And rightly so.
Our values
- We don’t send any of our waste to landfill
- Our wine partnership with Sustainable Wine Solutions greatly reduces glass waste as part of their re-bottling programme.
- Being better than we were yesterday, better than last month, better than last year - learning from the outcomes of business practice to implement a better environment for our team, our customers, and our planet.
- Where possible we partner with suppliers that are striving for a better world. Think donations to water aid projects, sustainable brewing and B.Corp groups – that’s where we’re heading.
- We take on board feedback from our staff through our annual Be Better day where shut shop and share openly what we’re enjoying, and what could – BE BETTER!
- We partner with various homeless shelters and food banks to help feed the hungry through our Serve Up Slices Sessions.
- Using our high-capacity food truck we’re able to provide a warm meal to hungriest in society completely free.
- Members of our team have the opportunity to learn more about the impacts on hunger struck families, individuals and those with nowhere to call home. It’s a rewarding monthly experience which highlights some of the greatest challenges right on our doorstep.
Below are some interesting highlights as to how we’re
reaching our Social Value - Be Better.
Sustainable Wine Solutions (SWS)

- The Bottle Return scheme brings a new, sustainable lease of life to the traditional wine bottle: each one can be returned, sterilised, and reused at least 30 times, reducing the carbon footprint of each bottle by up to 95%.
- SWS collects and delivers our wine in recycled plastic crates, saving huge amounts of wasted cardboard and striving to create a robust circular economy.
- Why doesn’t recycling go far enough? According to RecycleNow, U.K. hospitality alone throws an estimated 129,000 tonnes of glass into landfill every year: SWS offer a practical, convenient way of breaking this one-way wasteful chain whilst still supplying the traditional wine bottle we all love.
Karma Drinks – B.CORP
