Our story

Remember when the world stopped?

Thats when we got going...

From the beginning

Chapter 1

It Started With Dough

Like everyone else, we found ourselves stuck indoors during the pandemic, looking for something to do. For reasons we're still not entirely sure of, we decided to learn how to make pizza.

One recipe turned into ten. Our family became very willing (and occasionally unwilling) taste testers, and before long we'd become a little obsessed with getting the perfect dough.

Chapter 2

A Slightly Mad Idea

Then came a slightly mad idea.

We found an old 1980s horse trailer, spent far too much time in B&Q converting it into a pizza kitchen, and hitched it to a Keswick Green Land Rover Defender.

And just like that, The Social Dough Company was born.

Chapter 3

Pizza on Your Driveway

With restaurants closed and everyone stuck at home, we took the pizza to them. Pulling up on driveways, firing up the oven and bringing a little bit of normality (and some really good pizza) to a pretty strange time.

What started as a lockdown project quickly became something much bigger than we'd imagined.

Chapter 4

From Driveways to Restaurants

Fast forward a few years and we've swapped driveways for neighbourhood restaurants in Pinner and Ruislip, although our trusty pizza trailer still makes an appearance at parties and events.

Chapter 5

Still the Same Social Dough

And that green you see throughout our restaurants? It's the exact same green as the Land Rover that started it all. A little reminder of where we came from, taking chances and the importance of bringing people together.

We've grown a bit since those driveway days, but the idea behind Social Dough hasn't really changed.

Good pizza. Good people. Good times.

Because pizza was always meant to be social.
